Have you seen those women? Oriental beauty at it's best!
Oh but wait, they have yellow skin, they can't be most beautiful.
Its has got to be the white skin. Look at all that fairness
With golden locks on their head and rosy cheeks... Taylor Swift?
Oh but wait again, we are not in the Shakespearean times
Dark-haired women are what's hot now... Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox,
Eva Mendes, Natalie Portman, Tyra Banks, Kim Kardashian, and you and I
Or not. Because it's easier to think others are better looking than we are.
So maybe it has got to be the dark-skinned. Slightly tanned, mixed blood,
Halle Berry, Alicia Keys, Leona Lewis, Nicole Scherzinger,
Or not, because today, Blondes are whats cool. Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow,
Hayden Panetierre, Reese Witherspoon, Kate Winslet and the likes.
Or any colour as long as you remain thin. So where does that leave Mariah Carey,
Salma Hayek, Jordin Sparks, Kelly Clarkson, Fergie, or Serena Williams?
What is my point? Long haired, short haired, Fat, skinny, curvy, thin, light skinned,
Dark skinned, tanned, black, white, yellow, brown, red... WHATEVER it is you are
Beauty is socially constructed and every type of the beauty I have listed above has its reign
So are you gonna wait for the next ten years till your beauty type is called before you start to feel beautiful? If yes, then good luck with that!
We are ALL beautiful, look in the mirror, your mama gave birth to you that way. Once a cute baby, an adorable miracle, innocent beauty, chubby little creature; and how did all that change?
